TORONTO—Following 10 years in Vancouver, advertising and design agency Rethink is opening a Toronto office. Managing director and partner Pema Hegan says the company is ready for more national clients and its next challenge. “Toronto is where the majority of national clients are in Canada and we are really excited to bring our unique structure and services to this city,” he says. Three of Rethinks largest clients – Sobeys, Solo Mobile and Sympatico – are based in Toronto.

TORONTO—The Toronto office of BBDO has created a print and television campaign for the 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Games. Its services were donated by its North American president and CEO Gerry Frascione, who sits on the Paralympic advisory committee.

TORONTO—The Institute of Communication Agencies is returning out west this year with an updated Executive Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional program.

The course is for professionals who have been working in the marketing and advertising industies a minimum of two years and are passionate and curious about marketing communications, according to a company press release.

KINGSTON, Ont.—Three Canadian design and marketing companies have been listed under the Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. The list is compiled by Queen’s University Centre for Business Venturing in conjunction with human resources consulting company Hewitt Associates. Companies with 50 to 399 permanent employees were eligible and winners were chosen based on worker engagement.
